The S&S Tour was filmed in Buenos Aires on december 7th and 8th. I was there and before madonna comes out on stage a producer came out and told everybody that the entire tour will be filmed for the dvd.
Rumors say that producers and madonna were not very convinced of the footage of buenos aires because of the weather conditions (rain on december 8th). So they probably film again in the tour this year.

The DVD will not be released anytime soon as there are contractual issues concerning footage and songs still under copyright with Warner Music. Live Nation is in litigations with Warner to own the exclusive rights to the concert documentary and Warner will not negotiate since they have yet to put out Madonna’s Greatest Hits package this year. The conflict arises purely from song ownership. Madonna has nothing to do with this. It’s about who cashes in on the sales of these two products. Her switch from one corporation to another has kinked the plan until a settlement can be reached. Extended the tour also halts Warner from releasing the Greatest Hits Package as well since this move will be seen by Warner as “free advertising” for a concert sponsored by Live Nation which, in turn, offers nothing in terms of a profit to Warner. Live Nation wanted to purchase the rights to Madonna’s final contact fulfillment; however, the won’t budge either. This leaves everyone and everything at a standstill for the time being. This is the ugliness of the entertainment industry.

Too bad these companies still haven’t settled things, we wanted to buy the dvd around the end of last year… But seems it won’t even be out around the end of this year!!! I think they might lose sales this way, since it’s taken way too long to release the dvd. So people have already seen the concert more than a year ago…
