Madonna Won´t be able to Adopt a Second Child in Malawi
After a hearing held this morning, a court in Malawi has decided not to grant Madonna the adoption of a second child in the country.
This is in spite of the fact that the Malawi government gave Madonna their support, which was severely criticized after Madonna adopted his first son, David, 13 months in 2006.
According to the BBC, Madonna’s adoption application was rejected because of residency laws are not consistent with their status. And it´s that the legal requirement that adoptive parents must have lived in the country for at least 18 months before being able to take the children abroad.
According to the Associated Press, the resolution was seen by a judge and a lawyer who is not related to the case and have spoken to journalists on condition of retaining their anonymity.
It is still unclear whether the singer will try to appeal the decision.
