Madonna rejected the possibility of doing a duet with Stacey Solomon X Factor on Saturday night.

According to The Sun, the pop star has been in talks to team up with the act Dannii Minogue for the final but his team eventually rejected the offer because they have no new material or a promotional tour.

A source said: “We were told that it was promoting what was not going to happen. It’s a shame, as it was brilliant and gave the show real lift, especially with Stacey.”

In Saturday’s episode was to perform with Michael Buble Solomon. Meanwhile, Olly Murs sang with Robbie Williams and the eventual winner Joe McElderry was associated with George Michael.

The mother of one finished in third place on the weekend, leaving McElderry Murs and the battle in the final showdown last night.
