Madonna sues Lady Gaga for plagiarism
Madonna has sued her number one competitor, Lady Gaga, for plagiarism for the song ‘Alexander’ similar to her hit’Like a Prayer’. Lady Gaga says her intention was from the outset, to pay tribute to Madonna.
Madonna says she is not going to allow this for more time. Lady Gaga was getting too close to her style and gossip about what had already reached the “new Madonna” began to be heard too. So the Queen of Pop has formally denounced by Lady Gaga for plagiarizing her hit ‘Like a Prayer’ in ‘Alexander’, the last and controversial success of YouTube (with over 20 million views).
It is true that the music style is very similar but is also the movements which makes the young blonde in ‘Alexander’ is almost identical to those of Madonna’s ‘Like a Prayer’.
Given the demand for plagiarism, Lady Gaga has said, she feels honored to be compared with the Queen of Pop and above, explained that all he wanted with his latest song was precisely honor her. Pending the outcome of this new battle among the stars of the track, we left the two videos in question: ‘Alexander’ and ‘Like a Prayer’.

I hope this is true. Gaga is copying everybody nowdays.
La Isla Bonita, Yes..Not like A Prayer, and Ace of Base should have their say in this lawsuit, considering the fact that this song is known by another title, Don’t Turn Around.
If the industry doesn’t do something about the obviously plagiarized Born This Way it will just be because she’s popular. How sad it that. Thank God Madonna’s doing something. What the Hell was Gaga’s record company thinking of releasing this song.
Shame on the public for buying into it too.
I DON’T THINK GAGA IS Simliar to like a prayer video entirely—Watching Alejandro is like a madonna montage—-It reminds me of The Beast Within/Madonna’s Reinvention Tour, Like a Virgin from Madonna’s Blonde Ambition tour, Girlie Show Madonna, and Madonna’s Look in general at different phases throughout her career—Weird-If it is paying tribute to Madonna—why should madonna care–She should be flattered-unless this is a rumor—I don’t think this sounds like La isla bonita—There are similiarities w the cross and the crufix and so on —but it’s more like Madonna’s different looks from her tours—-as well as one dancing part that looks like Madonna straddling the t..v. set in the Hollywood video–
This is rediculious i dont see any smularity between Lady GaGa and Madonna…
these two songs don’t sound too much alike. i think her new song “Born this Way” sounds waayyy more Madonna-esque than this.
I think both artists are talented, & have seen both videos. I do see some similarities, but GaGa’s is different in a lot of ways too. I actually think GaGa’s looks a lot more like a dominatrous in hers, & Madonna looks to be enjoying herself dancing with her choir..just like she does in person when performing that song. I honestly think Madonna should feel honored that the newest POP star (as big as GaGa is right now)looks up to her so much that she used some similarities. It is obvious that Madonna was someone GaGa grew up singing to who has influenced her a lot. I actually think Madonna (as much as I love alot of her songs) is being a bit unappreciative of how much GaGa looks up to her. Madonna is no spring chicken anymore, & I actually think is getting past where she would sell any new POP records to the youth of today. She is in her mid to late 50′s. Madonna also is no morone with how much money she has made over the years…probably this suite has to do with winning some more money to add to her fortune too. Usher & many others do the moon wlk like MJ…he did not sue for plaigarism. They did that because they looked up to him as well…& MJ was honored by it as Madonna should be.
What the heck is up with Madonna … seriously!
She has been dubbed the Queen of pop by her fans, however this does not mean she IS a QUEEN and therefor can dictate who should sing what ….
She doesnt OWN music and should not be abel to tell anyone to sing this or that …
Her time is over … and she needs to get over it … she looks awful, her voice box is seriously going kaput and she needs to step down and hand over the crown

THE COMPARISON IS THIS – THE UNDERLYING TRACKS ARE MUSICALLY LIKE “LIKE A PRAYER”, AND THE VIDEO HAS UNDERLYING IMAGES AND SPECIFIC CHOREOGRAPHY FROM THE VIDEO “EXPRESS YOURSELF”. I LIKE GAGA, BUT HOW MUCH HOMAGE CAN YOU PAY TO MADONNA BEFORE STEPPING ON HER GAME? TAKE THAT BETTE MIDLER LOOK FROM YOUR PREVIOUS VIDEO AND RUN W/ THAT FOR A WHILE. OR GO BACK TO THE POP BOTTLE SHADES AND CUPPIE DO FROM YOUR BEGINING. THAT WAS ORIGINAL.
maybe Madonna is jealous of all the fame that Lady GAGA has following her. just think that it’s alot of bullshit.
