Madonna left Malawi on Sunday after failing in her attempt to adopt a second child from the African nation, officials of air traffic leaked.
The singer left in her private Gulfstream jet to London, the sources said. Police roadblocks prevented journalists approaching the airport, but a police officer said that Madonna took David, her adopted son in his arms when climbing down the ladder to the airplane.
The sources spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to the press.
The singer’s lawyer said that she will appeal the ruling of the court which did not allow her to adopt an orphan girl of three years because he has not resided in Malawi for the minimum 18 months required to adopt a child in Malawi.
