Madonna leaves Malawi after week of charitable giving
Madonna left Malawi after visiting the country with his family and lay the foundation stone of a support center for orphans in the country, officials said on Saturday the airport and welfare of the country.
The pop diva left the southern African country on Friday, officials said. The singer began a journey through the impoverished nation on October 25 with her four children, including two that adopted in Malawi.
He laid the foundation stone of Raising Malawi Academy for Girls, which cost $ 15 million, and visited the orphanage that cared for her son David before she adopted him.
The Raising Malawi Madonna Academy, a charity founded in 2006 when she visited the country for the first time, helping to feed, educate and provide medical care to some of the orphans in the country.
Malawi, a country of 12 million people, is one of the world’s poorest nations. Some 500,000 children have lost one parent to AIDS in the country.
