Kylie: My inspirations preceding Madonna
Promoting her upcoming album, Aphrodite, Kylie Minogue appears on the cover of BlackBook magazine.
She also gave an interview saying that she considers being compared to Madonna somewhat “lazy”
“It’s a bit lazy in comparison now. If someone were to see her more closely, would I have a lot of influences that precede Madonna. We have friends in common. She passed me a message and I will step one to it. I sure we will find it someday a funny thing. ”
The magazine also gives some examples of why the two stars can “compare”
Madonna has her book “Sex” controversial, Kylie Minogue has a collection of photos (some topless) and a picture of her with a penis
Madonna Truth or Dare is a documentary of the tour, and Kylie has White Diamond: A Personal Portrait of Kylie Minogue;
Madonna has a boyfriend very young, the Brazilian model Jesus Light, and Kylie has a 32-year-old Andres Velencoso.
The New York Post has recently formulated a reasonable question:
Is it possible to be a female pop star and not be compared to Madonna?
